Hello Tim
On Ryze and several other networks it's assumed that if you know the email address of someone, you might "know them".
On Ryze one of the neglected ways to indicate to someone that you've visited their homepage, that you've read and approved of a post they have written, or that you appreciate what they are saying, is to check the email link in the permissions box on that person's Ryze Homepage.
That's much more useful than clicking on the pretty useless "network with me button".
When you visit the homepage of someone who's done that for you, that's a fairly clear indication that a friend request will be accepted. Copy the email address, open the tag "Add as a Friend", enter the email address in the box provided, and send off the invitation.
Thanks for asking the question Tim.
