Igor,
Here's another thought for your consideration. Everybody appreciates cleverness. For example, is it any surprise those silly Apple computer commercials are so popular? One commercial sells products by making fun of its competition. No doubt, Microsoft enjoys the commercials as much as we do. After all, they have cross-licensing agreements with Apple. Microsoft actually makes money from the sale of Apple iMacs. Yes, cleverness matters.
The next time you decide to send out resumes, don't send them in standard #10 envelopes with a cover letter like everyone else. Send them in a gold-leaf invitation envelope. Surprise your prospective employer. That way, you are more likely to be remembered than your sea of competition.
Also, consider creating a Squidoo lens for yourself that features letters of endorsement from people who acknowledge your expertise. That way, you can simply put a link into your resume without having to include their letters. Want to see an example of what I am talking about? Visit my site - www.squidoo.com/LamarMorgan.
Good luck.
