My paternal grandfather was a Gallipoli veteran. I have always been proud of that, but it's not war that I want to talk about here. Nationality used to have a strong meaning. I mean people were proud to be whatever they were. In that sense Australians were proud to be Australians, and New Zealanders were proud to be New Zealanders. And both Australians and New Zealanders were very proud of their very close relationship with each other. Is that a thing of the past? Is globalism destroying nationalism?

When this network started I must say I was very happy to join it, but looking at the posting I feel I am on a ghost ship.
LOL. Let's revive it. I think it is a great acievement to have a down-under presence on Ryze. Any takers?

I'm always here Denis.

The network is available for use. I encourage that whenever I can.

I've also run a network on Ryze for a long time now. Networks do reflect their leaders in the long run. If I was able to post something every day, or even twice a week I could grow the network, but the return for effort would be small.

So long steady effort is the story. Build slowly and surely.

I agree the nationalism is less important in a globalized world. The current depression proves that. No nation can hide. The causes of the problem of both large and small but are also everywhere, not just in the USA.

Those who have been a little conservative and who have managed their resources well are less severely hit by the downturn.

As for ANZAC, I understand that Australia's RSA downplays the NZ involvement. Storm in a teacup I guess.
