When I compare Social Networking Newbies with what I want to achieve here, I'm disappointed.

For instance there are 21 people here who joined in September.
Of those FIVE have made good progress in the last 20 days. Sadly 11 members have not made any progress over that time.

So I'm disappointed.

But then I do a comparison with people who joined the same month, but didn't join this network, and I see the progress we have made. This works. SHARE the knowledge.

Here is my PROOF, the Social Networking Newbies helps you ALL to be successful on Ryze.

First of all 25 randomly selected people who joined Ryze in September but did NOT join Social Networking Newbies. There are some successes here, but all of those had contact with T.E.A.M. Mom!.

Home page hits: the top five: 65, 40, 18, 15, 14
The median: 7
The bottom five: 2, 2, 2, 1, 1

21 Members of Social Networking Newbies
Home page hits: the top five: 136, 112, 81, 48, 38
The median: 22
The bottom five: 14, 14, 13, 12, 12
Note that our bottom was better than the median for the non-members.

Networks Joined
Members 21 people joined 175 networks in total. Median 4
Non-members 25: joined 119 networks in total. Median 2

Guest Books.
21 Members: 88 Guest Book entries. Median 3
25 Non-members: 35 Guest Book entries. Median 0

What does that tell us. People who joined Ryze and this network in September 2009, are TWICE as successful as people who joined Ryze in the same month, and didn't happen to join this network.

Even more strongly if it wasn't for the strong work T.E.A.M. Mom! is doing at http://www.ryze.com/networkindex.php?network=1stop those numbers for non-members would been even worse.

So pats on the back all round. If you find me growling sometimes, just remind me that's Rome wasn't built in a day.

T.E.A.M. Mom!
Well thanks John, I will give myself a pat on the back *tap tap* :D I was so surprised to see my name listed in the post, so had to read it twice.

As I have shared from day 1 back in 2004, if it were not for a handful of people (you happened to be one of them, thank you) coming by and offering me any sort of help here, I would have left! Ryze is a complicated web of rules, guidelines, policies, click that, click here, no wonder people either: get frustrated and leave OR just wander about without knowing where or how to actually utilize their memberships.

The one essential thing I did way back was begin my Navigating ryze thread which was created originally for my new network members to get around. At that time, there was Russ Howard, Warren Contreras among the few I can remember who had layed out a good blueprint on how to get about, use the HTML editor, etc For the first year I had such a mess on my ryze page (I saved the codes for proof LOL), that when my baby sis and friend Ally (Sekotan) came by and surprised me by revamping my page, I was left in happy tears.

From than on in, I made it my #1 mission to educate myself whenever and however I could, day after day, code after code, til the day came that I could do it myself. Along the way, thru my trials and obstacles, I have built a wealth of knowledge and resources that I just sift thru and pass on when I can. I wish more people would do this? Leaders like yourself, who break down the logistics of how new members fair here is great, since I don't think many of us ever put it into that sort of perspective.

Any networking group a person joins will have its up/downs, bad apples, spammers, etc, it is how you come prepared to deal with the situations put before you that will be the deciding factor of your success in networking in any form. I would never jump into any business venture without first reading all the fine print, so I don't understand why someone joins a network without reading what is expected of them? That is why it is so important that those of us who have been here awhile and have anything we can give back, must try to do so when we can... Even a few minutes a week.

Well, I look forward to seeing what the stats will be next time, I am off to welcome new members over on the WBO, 1Stop and my WINning sisters group. Success to you always, Patricia
